New Couches in Our Family Room {Can I Get a Whoop! Whoop!}

This is an exciting day over at My Life From Home!  The couches have arrived and their presence is bringing me much joy!  If you remember, I showed you the six couches that I was attempting to choose between in this post.  Well, the decision was made and I am in LOVE with my “chosen” ones!  They look better in the space than I had even hoped for, friends. The whole space looks lighter, fresher, cleaner, and I am thrilled!

It's always nerve-wracking to make a big item purchase since you have to live with it for so long, so I really took some time to think through my decision.  I'm pretty sure that any of them would probably have been great and let's face it, anything would have been better than what I had, but ultimately I think a couple of things made me go with these.  I'll share those with you in a minute, but first, you need to see the pretty pictures, right?

Why these couches?  

Here are my 4 reasons and recommendations to think about when choosing your seating.

1. I got to sit on them.  I was able to go into the store and sit on them, lay down and get comfy, just to make sure they fit.  I touched them for the feel of the fabric and spoke to a salesperson about the wear of the material.

2. For our space, I liked the look of the linen best because we have mocha colored walls.  I really loved the gray, but didn't want to have to repaint the walls to coordinate better, so the gray ones were eliminated.

3. I fell in love with the nailhead trim, tufted back, and rounded arms.  Both of these characteristics are more traditional and farmhouse which better suits our style.

4. I decided against loose back cushions.  I like that this one has a solid cushion in the back.  I love throw pillows and we can use plenty of them and if the kids throw them on the floor, at least we will still have a back cushion.  The loose cushions I'm afraid would end up on the floor more than not which would drive me insane!

And what usually happens when you go in a furniture store?  You decide there are other things you need also.  Well, I couldn't walk out without this gorgeous coffee table, so it came home with me also!

These ended up a little more expensive than some on the list, but they were on sale!  I think in the long run, I'll be happy with the money spent.
