Plaid Scarf

Ok so I have to say that I'm kinda uncomfortable with the whole taking pictures of myself thing, but I'm stretching myself with this little wardrobe series just so you can get an idea of how I simplified my wardrobe and the outfits I ended up with.
Today you are seeing my 2nd outfit, but you may notice I have used the green scarf again.  The best way to make a simplified wardrobe work for you is to find basic items that you can wear with multiple things.  This plaid scarf, for instance, goes with all my neutrals.  Instantly throwing this on makes a ho-hum outfit have some style.

OUTFIT DETAILS
sweater: Old Navy, white tee: Gap, plaid scarf: Stitch Fix, but similar here, jeans: Gap (similar), boots: Target
You can see I'm using my new FAVORITE tote which I told you about on this post.  I'm finding this tote to be so versatile.  I love the cognac color and it works with my black boots because the reversible black side peeks out just enough to pull it all together.
The jeans and the white v-neck tee are items I already had in my closet.  These were purchased from Gap last year.  The sweater (which I'm in ♥ with) was a new purchase from Old Navy.  I was lacking a black cardigan and this cocoon style is super comfy, but not too bulky or long like some tend to be.
I'm excited because I think every piece in this outfit can be mixed and matched with something else I have! And that is definitely the goal!

To life feeling like home!
